... That reads as exactly one month until I'm on a plane bawling my eyes out as I fly over the country.
More pressing though, is that I still don't have a host family. This is starting to legitimately worry me, although there's nothing really to be done about it. I'm so anxious just to have a place to look forward to calling home. Nonetheless, I'm very excited for those who already know, and it's borderline surreal seeing it laid out on a map like this:

Also on my mind is a sort of unofficial bucket list of things I desperately want to do before leaving-- there's only a month left, after all. I want to get those rasberry-jelly-doughnuts from the Korean shop downtown, and froyo from Menchies, and jasmine bubbletea. I want to play lots of tennis and meet lots of friends, and climb the Fremont troll and hike on Mt. Ranier, and jump in St. Edwards Lake and eat conveyor-belt sushi. I want to make the most of this month and take lots of pictures to show my host family- whoever they are, wherever they are, if they ever pick me [hint hint].
One month!
